I’m a board-certified psychiatrist with training from Harvard and Brown, and I specialize in both psychotherapy and medication management. I studied at Brown University for both my undergraduate and medical degrees, where my interest in mental health began through neuroscience research. Early on, I saw how incredibly resilient people can be when given the right tools—skills, care, and support—and I’ve dedicated my career to helping people access those tools and thrive.
I completed my residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital Psychiatry Residency Program, where I served as outpatient chief resident. I now work as a staff psychiatrist at McLean Hospital and as an instructor at Harvard Medical School, in addition to my private practice.
I work with people struggling with trauma and PTSD/C-PTSD, borderline personality disorder, anxious attachment, depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and more. I specialize in doing deep work—whether you’re new to therapy or have tried many treatments without success. I also work with partners, ex-partners, adult children, and parents who have been affected by a loved one’s mental health.
My approach is collaborative and flexible. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities including EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe the most effective treatments combine therapy, judicious use of medication, and attention to the whole person.
My ultimate goal is to help you get better and eventually become your own therapist—someone who no longer needs therapy to navigate life. I offer in-person sessions at my office in Newton and virtual appointments for those in Massachusetts and California.
